Ubud rice terrace restaurant Alon Alon

Ubud rice terrace restaurant Alon Alon

Ubud rice terrace restaurant Alon Alon is a must visit restaurant perched on a hill in Tegallalang with wonderful Bali rice terrace view.

While not in Ubud itself, but Tegallalang, it is worth the 15 minute drive to visit, where you can enjoy the tranquil setting and gaze. And relax. And gaze and relax some more!

To get there you need a car or motorbike, and drive from the Ubud market area up to the big statue at the end of the road, then turn left and keep going.

You go past the seemingly endless road of handicraft shops (great for shopping if you like that kind of stuff, and most places seem a bit starved for business so deals can be done.) and then finally you see ricefields on your right.

Go a bit further and you will find a somewhat built up area, and possibly even where you have to pay parking fees (10-20 cents). There you will find Ubud rice terrace restaurant Alon Alon where a lovely leisurely lunch awaits you in classic Ubud beauty.

Quite a good, simple menu, including pizza and some Thai dishes along with the basic and standard Indonesian fare. The food is good, fresh and tasty.

If you have dodgy knees there are some tables at the top, but if they are OK then you can go right down into the valley almost and eat in the joglos there.

It is really beautiful and peaceful and the food, while nothing special, is fine.

Ubud rice terrace restaurant Alon Alon is a great Bali ricefield restaurant to stop for lunch if you want to check out the civits and world famous Lewak coffee centre at Bali Pullina Agro Tourism Centre just a few minutes further up the road.

Here you can sample and buy lewak coffee (Made from coffee beans that the civits eat, digest and then pass, whereupon they are washed, dried and then roasted.) as well as a few other teas. Worth a visit.
