Ubud restaurant Waroeng Bernadette

Ubud restaurant Waroeng Bernadette is a lovely little warung in Ubud in Bali serving predominantly Javanese food which is normally not to my personal taste but which I nevertheless enjoyed.

Waroeng Bernadette is situated on Jl Gootama, which runs from Jl Dewisita which runs along the top of the soccer field to Jl Raya Ubud, coming out at the end of the market.

Jalan Gootama is a cool little street with lots of small and funky restaurants, often of the organic or vegan variety, serving the increasingly health conscious Ubud visitor.

I had the corn fritters and the Siomay Gautama (35K) which was a selection of veggies, tofu, some chicken dumplings served with a delicious peanut sauce, while my friend had the bakso urat which was also good. Good healthy lunch

I was impressed to have a café latte in a special glass insulated coffee cup. Good coffee too and at 22k good value also.

Ubud restaurant Waroeng Bernadette is a funky little Bali restaurant that shares the space with Toko Madu, a craft shop, so the tables, walls and ceilings are adorned with handicrafts, including lots of funky metal objects, lamp shades and lots of other stuff.

There is an upstairs area also which is probably too hot in the day but at night would be quite nice.

Open from 11am to 12 midnight.
