Sanur Japanese restaurant Sumo

Sanur Japanese restaurant Sumo is an odd kind of Japanese restaurant in Sanur, with a statue of a sumo wrestler out the front either attracting customers of turning them off.

Under renovations when I visited, Sumo Japanese restaurant in Sanur has a pleasant area outside with some tables, and a nondescript inside area with tables and booths, and more tables once they expansion into the next space is complete.

It appears that once the Sumo guy was outside and the menu printed, the creativity in this restaurant ran dry.

The menu here is fairly typical of Japanese restaurants in Bali. Lots of sashimi, sushi, teriaki chicken and fish, salmon and tuna dishes and a few other dishes I did not recognise.

Sumo Japanese restaurant in Sanur looks like a nice Japanese restaurant in Sanur for a lunch as it has some dishes at the cheaper end of the scale for Sanur Japanese restaurants, but not really somewhere I would go to at night for a special dinner.

There are sushi sets and California rolls at around the 140k mark, along with a sushi a la carte menu to choose from.

Nothing special, at least in my opinion, about this Sanur Japanese restaurant, but OK for a bite in a casual atmosphere.

Nothing special about this place. Food is fairly standard, overpriced in my opinion, a bit garish actually. Cloying is the work I'd use to describe the manager, a quality I dislike. Not a bad place, but not one I will go back to.
