Petitenget restaurant, bar and club Potatohead opened in early 2011, and is in Seminyak/Petitenget (They say Seminyak as it is a more fashionable address than Petitenget) and is truly an amazing sight.
The main photo here is of a beautiful sunset there one afternoon I was there with friends.
Architecturally Potatohead is stunning, as when you come down the long drive you are confronted with a colosseum type structure made entirely out of a patchwork of Javanese windows.
The entrance is kinda strange as you walk along a narrow walkway between high concrete walls, one of which is a water feature which you only glimpse for 1.5 seconds as you leave.
After having your bags checked and surrendering any bottles of water or anything else, you then enter into a broad expanse of bars.
Off to the left, hidden almost, is a beautiful water feature that seems to have been built first before a design change pushed the focus elsewhere.
There is a large infinity pool (Are there any other kind of pools in these resorts?) overlooking the beach with a bar set in the middle which is fun to experience.

Lazy afternoons around the pool at Petitenget restaurant, bar and club Potatohead are fun. You can get a day-bed around the pool if you have a minimum spend, usually of around 750k which if there are 3-4 of you is pretty easy to do, and sunsets reflected in the infinity pool can be gorgeous.
Great for lazy Bali afternoons.
I first went there in early March 2011 just after opening and enjoyed some wonderful cocktails served in large glasses, even carafes, and when I returned in late March the glasses were half the size and same price. So it lost me a bit there.
Many people like it here, tho I find it a bit pretentious, and I struggle with the ostentatiousness of the displays of wealth in such places. The disparity between local living wages and what Westerners and wealthy Asians spend on a night out just to be seen is pretty stark.
I often take visitors there to look at the architecture and only sometimes feel to stay for a drink.
Bali has become a playground for silly money and Petitenget restaurant, bar and club Potatohead has silliness stamped all over it.
From the 60s retro vinyl couches that have not lost any of their plastic feel in the last 50 years, to the day beds that are equally as uncomfortable, to the ostentatiousness of its pricing, it is a little unusually styled.
It is a copy of Ku De Ta, possibly more popular these days given it has a pool. Petitenget restaurant, bar and club Potatohead is definitely in the top 10 Bali nightclubs and Bali bars and in the top 100 Bali restaurants and Bali wedding venues.
Petitenget restaurant, bar and club Potatohead is the Bali version of a long standing famous Potatohead club in Jakarta
