Situated on the busy Jalan Petitenget near Petitenget Italian restaurant La Luciola and Hu’u Bar, Petitenget is a popular place for the more mature and discerning tourist and expat alike.

Often when I pass by around sunset Petitenget restaurant Petitenget is really busy with people having sunset drinks.

The Saturday night I was there, every table was full and the atmosphere convivial. I ordered a delicious bacon-wrapped roast chicken with potatoes and veggies dish which was beautiful cooked and flavoured, while my friend had a fish stew which she loved but left her feeling a bit bloated at the end for some reason.

Very nice Bali gourmet food.

I found myself getting a bit annoyed with the staff who initially were pestering us to order and then later ignored us when we wanted something.

The food was really good, as were the drinks even if they were on the expensive side. The average price for main course was around 140k plus plus, meaning 165k, which is on the high side if you’re used to dining cheaply though normal if you like to eat more modern, gourmet cuisine with its delicate flavouring and presentation.

The font size on the menu was a bit small so I found myself straining to read the menu which also annoyed me a bit. To be fair though, we were sitting at the darkest table which contributed to my difficulties to read the menu.

I also found eating at Petitenget restaurant Petitenget was a bit noisy if you are outside from the traffic going past, which often meant stopping mid sentence to wait till the offending bike went away.

But, not much to do about that – it is Bali in 2014 after all. Open for brunch lunch and dinner, a nice Bali restaurant treat.
