Opposite Hotel Le Meridien Bali, on the beach, Jimbaran beach seafood restaurant Menega Cafe is one of those places that exist to fill you up on delicious fresh seafood. We went there a little early at 5.30, which actually was not that great an idea, as it was still hot.

It was still too hot to eat on the beach, and the sun was shining directly into the restaurant so it was a bit intense.

By the time we had finished, however, of course the sun was very low, and the heat had gone from the day and the tables on the sand filled up.

We had a plateful of large prawns, mussels, fish and another plate of deep fried calamari, which was a ridiculous amount of food for two of us, but we just could not stop ourselves when we ordered our food looking at the trays and tubs of freshly caught edibles.

I was stunned at how gorgeous the lobsters looked, such intricate and bright colourings, and amazingly withstood all the urges to order one of those also.

The food tasted great, service is good. Don’t know how much it cost as I was being treated and it was impolite to look at the bill. I imagine it would have been around 400-500,000 rupiahs each, so not cheap but certainly a nice treat, especially if you drive all the way there from Seminyak as we did.

Yes the experience of eating at the Jimbaran beach seafood restaurant Menega Cafe was great and it would have to feature in the best Bali Jimbaran seafood restaurants, an experience to be recommended.

I liked this place, bit too expensive though for what it is. Nice being on the beach, we were there at sunset so it was beautiful. As a restaurant, I think it's a bit overrated, but an experience all the same.

Menega is my favourite seafood restaurant. Me and my family came here every years, good choice of fresh seafood. Grilled fish, clams, prawns, calamari, hmm... We were impressed with the taste of the food we ordered. Staff are very friendly and attentive. You have to try this restaurant with your family, it's recommended for people who love fresh seafood and want to have different ambiance restaurant.

We had dinner here two times this year, delicious food. I especially love scallops and prawns grilled with special seasonings. Will be back again.

Went there with my family last year, great restaurant, good choices of fresh seafood. Nice place for dinner, the table near the beach, delicious seafood grill. Great place to try when you have a big appetite here.
