Kerobokan international restaurant Warung Baobab is beautifully situated overlooking rice field terraces, and a lovely building, great location and very good food. Baobab has closed as of July 2015

Kerobokan international restaurant Warung Baobab was newly opened, June 2013, and is a a very welcome recent discovery of mine (August 2013) in Kerobokan.

The food is modern European, though the French owner Jean informed me that, as I write this review, so is a new menu being created which will include some African dishes. Not being so familiar with African food I promptly forgot the names of the dishes that will be available.

The first night I went I had a delicious barramundi with oregano and on the second night the barramundi also, but done differently this time and equally delicious.

Delicious food, good service, beautiful environment, and well priced. For my barramundi and a small beer the bill game to 95k including 5% service charge, so great value also.

Didn’t really like the pop music on the sound system, not exactly digestive music. That probably changes anyway.

See the bottom of this page for some more photos of Kerobokan international restaurant Warung Baobab.

Once a month they are having parties where they have a DJ playing house/dance music, which really appeals to me – bit over the Bali club scene, not exactly relaxing places to hang out.

They have a Facebook page so check it out. Sometimes they do parties here, check Facebook for their timing.

Right next to Warung Taulan, Kerobokan international restaurant Warung Baobab is definitely off the beaten track but well worth a visit, and perfect of those who are staying in Umalas or Kerobokan.

Open for lunch and dinner, this is a great place out of the noise and chaos of traffic and downtown Seminyak, a lovely Bali restaurant.

They also do movie nights, where they show movies to inspire.

Thanks for this bit of info about Baobab. We had such a nice time there last night. Delicious. A new regular eating place I think.

Beautiful food, beautiful place, peaceful and tranquil. Truly a hidden gem in the ricefields.

It was quiet the night we were there, so quiet. Gorgeous. Nice to have a restaurant to ourselves. Delicious food, great outlook.
