Echo Beach cafe Roti Canai

Echo Beach cafe Roti Canai is a fun little place down Batu Bolong in the Echo Beach area that serves a wide range of rotis, Indonesian food, all day breakfasts plus good value coffee.

I did not know that the boring old roti, such a part of an Indian diet, could be such fun!

Basically it is like a crepe shop and instead of pancakes everything is done with roti breads.

There are all kinds of rotis which are kinda like a quesadilla. There are kebab rotis, savoury rotis and sweet rotis. We got some to takeaway and they were great food to eat in the car. And at around 25k hey are cheap also.

They also have curries with rice or, you guessed it, rotis! Homemade pies are also available.

They also have a small range of Indonesian classics like mie and nasi goreng, chicken sate and some salads.

Roti Canai Street Kitchen also serve all day breakfasts which look OK.

They also do Teh Tarik, which is a strained tea and one of their house specialities.

Coffees at 25k are quite good also.

Echo Beach cafe Roti Canai Street Kitchen is a great little Canggu Bali restaurant, good for eating in or takeaways.

Visited cafe roti canai late in the afternoon and delighted with sweet canai plus ice cream on the side. I lived in Malaysia for couple years and been having roti canai for snack ( sometimes even breakfast), love the taste. If you are in need of something more savory, try roti canai with curry. I always think it's weird to have roti with curry but my tongue loves it. The place isn't that big but the ambience is nice, they decorate the place well. And the people are so much fun! Will come back for sure.
