Bumbak restaurant Geulis Waroeng

Bumbak restaurant Geulis Waroeng nasi campur

Bumbak restaurant Geulis Waroeng

I dropped in at Bumbak restaurant Geulis Waroeng for lunch recently and enjoyed my nasi campur, and could see this is a popular warung in the area.

Unusually laid out with a small, and I guess original section in the front, with a larger area at the back of the next door building, with a bar and long tables, with a ricefield aspect also.

The back section looks set up for parties or gatherings, no dance floor but lots of seating.

The nasi campur (see main photo) was very tasty, but I do have a complaint about how the Balinese cook chicken.

Often they chop up the legs and everything and don’t consider removing bone splinters and fragments, so you have to be careful while eating, because for sure they are not going to pay for any cracked teeth as a result of chomping on meat to find a piece of bone in a dangerous area.

So Bumbak restaurant Geulis Waroeng is a bit sloppy, which is a bit of a shame because otherwise it is a nice little place.

The other dishes were good, and I was also happy to have my lunch and a watermelon juice for 40k.

Good value and a pleasant place, a nice Bali warung.

There is a masonary wall at the front and the restaurant is below street level so it is sheltered somewhat from the noise of passing traffic.

The menu is large, with an interesting choice of breakfasts all for around 40k, a flame burger section with lots of burgers and some steak as well.

Night time the men changes to a classic Indonesian menu, with satays, spring rolls, nasi and mie goreng, plus a grilled mahi mahi that looks nice.

And then there are the usual Balinese desserts in case you have any room left.

Overall I enjoyed my meal at Bumbak restaurant Geulis Waroeng and can recommend it if you are in the Bumbak area. Just be careful with the chicken!!
