Bingin beach restaurant Bingin Bagus Seafood barb-e-que
Bingin beach restaurant Bingin Bagus Seafood barb-e-que is one of a row of restaurants, yes, on the beach at Bingin!
Hard to find – hell, Bingin is hard to find – and at the end of a walk downhill of around 200 steps (and uphill after dinner, a good way to burn off any calories, and very hard on 50 year old knees), this is sweet but basic.
There were 4 of us, and so we ordered a whole tuna that was barb-e-qued and served up along with water spinach, the green vegetable that Balinese use with everything that is more of a weed and that I don’t really like that much.
The fish was really nice and we all had out fill. It was very nice sitting on the beach, new moon, waves lapping. No lights of course, just low candles so it was pretty dark, hence no real photos.
It is a young scene down there, mostly 25-35 year-olds, a surfie scene, with budget accommodation right on the beach, with lodgmans climbing the cliff. Kinda cool if you are 20 or 30, but for me, well I did that 20 years ago!!
Not the place you want to hang out much if you have a dodgy knee, as climbing down those steps was hard.
Bingin beach restaurant Bingin Bagus Seafood barb-e-que was nothing special, though the location was great, except for the steps.

Write a reviewIt is a lovely spot, awesome, but I didn't like it much, eating in the dark battling with fish bones and greasy hands... Ok for romantic dinner I guess, but seems hard work. Not so cheap either.
