Berawa restaurant La Laguna

Berawa restaurant La Laguna

Berawa restaurant La Laguna is a sprawling, conceptually stunning restaurant on the beach at Berawa in Bali that is its own tourist attraction.

Just like its sister businesses La Plancha on Seminyak beach and La Favella in the Oberoi area, La Laguna has revolutionised the beach bar concept again – build a tourist attraction and sell food and drinks!

From the entrance pathways past a row of brightly painted gypsy caravans (possibly private dining areas down the track?) above the beer garden, then on to the restaurant overlooking the river and the bridge that connects to the beach, this is kinda mind blowing.

Occupying a vast area, Bali restaurant La Laguna was very busy on the Sunday afternoon I went there. Full of Westerners and locals, plus Asian tourists, La Laguna in Berawa was literally crawling with people.

The menu is fairly simple, with mostly small bits including tapas at around 55k each, some sandwiches, some tablas of cheese, cold cuts and raw fish around 90k plus some interesting salads for 70k.

For proper meals there are some char grilled dishes, with beef tenderloin at 320k, seabass at 185 and lamb rack at 190k, so this is by no means a cheap place to eat. I did not eat when I was here so I cannot say anything about the food quality or quantity.

Not really a Bali beachclub, La Laguna in Berawa challenges the Bali beachclubs like Potatohead and Ku De Ta to raise their game, as La Laguna bring s rustic quality that people love once they have gotten over the attraction of ostentatious luxury that

stunning, awesome concept, lovely place for sunset. Just had a juice which was surprisingly expensive. More than beer. Does not make sense.
