Batu Belig restaurant Slippery Stone

Batu Belig restaurant Slippery Stone is a stunning Bali restaurant serving authentic, scrumptuous Greek food your taste buds will remember for a long time after.

Slippery Stone is a sprawling classy restaurant, with a gorgeous lounge bar next to the front entrance, and then the restaurant cascades down the slope, with the long bar and a row of tables separated by a beautifully lit decorative pool with fountains.

It then goes down to a large room with lots of tables, opposite which are more private and secluded dining areas.

Then it goes down into a lounge bar area where there is a pool table, and then onto a garden area. Lovely.

Batu Belig restaurant Slippery Stone reopened in 2016 after some major  renovations in 2016.

I was lucky enough to be invited to review Slippery Stone and chef Laz left no (slippery?) stone unturned in presenting the delights of Greek cooking.

We were given a selection of starters including a slab of fried halumi cheese which I always love, and then a stuffed mushroom dish that was crazily good plus some octopus that were delicious.

Scroll to the bottom of this page for lots of photos of Batu Belig restaurant Slippery Stone, the food and their menu.

At this point we were actually satisfied but then there was more! The main courses!

A frying pan full of exquisite scallops appeared along with a plate of king prawns along with a lamb dish which were just too gorgeous to ignore and be sensible about, regardless of how full we felt.

We did overdo the eating thing as we were definitely stuffed full of good food when we left, but it did go against the grain to leave food as delicious as this on the plate!

Batu Belig restaurant Slippery Stone must rank in the top Bali restaurants in terms of environment, the ambience and food quality, and for sure one of Bali’s best Greek restaurants. They say they do the best lamb in Bali, and I believe it.

Batu Belig restaurant Slippery Stone is a not a cheap eat and does not pretend to be, with its emphasis on providing a quality Bali dining experience

Really good Bali fine dining in Batu Belig. And there is plenty of parking which in Bali is a big plus.

I have included Slippery Stone as non smoking even though there is no designated non smoking area, but there are secluded tables where a non smoking environment can be enjoyed.
