Batu Belig restaurant La Bodega

Batu Belig restaurant La Bodega is a lovely and spacious restaurant in Batu Belig with a seemingly endless view over ricefields and a very nice restaurant to eat and enjoy live Latin music.

I went to La Bodega on a Saturday night in June 2014 when there ware some really good Latin musicians playing a broad cross section of Latin music, and there was a woman there who danced beautifully.

La Bodega is big, with lots of sitting spaces to choose from: near the bar overlooking the musicians who on this night played under the stars, and the group of tables there, or in either of the two large undercover dining areas.

There is a section of lawn if you like to take you shoes off and dance, or there is an undercover tiled area for dancing also.

There is also plenty of undercover space for when it rains, so don’t worry if its is wet, the show will go on!!

Batu Belig restaurant La Bodega has an enticing looking a la carte menu and a large selection of really delicious tapas, which is what myself and my friends chose.

Sardines, marinated anchovies, chicken curry, green rice, a sumptuous eggplant dish, marinated deep friend fish and lots of other delectables.

The food is of a high quality, the kitchen is new and western, and clearly this is a place that Spanish owner Alex has put his heart into.

The service was good, especially the wine waiter who has found his calling!!

Later in the night Alex brought out some paella which, being already satiated, I had just a taste of. Nice.

La Bodega is a lovely Bali restaurant where you can have a beautiful Bali dining experience.

Batu Belig restaurant La Bodega is a great place for a party of friends to come to eat, dance and be merry.

Currently they are planning on doing tapas on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and are open 7 nights a week.

Check their Facebook page for more info pricing for the tapas, currently all you can eat, is 160k per person.

The a la carte menu dishes are usually around the 80-100k price.

Had a very nice night there, really good musicians, the dance performer was fabulous, and the food is really good. A sense of expansiveness too, with the rice fields stretching into the distance. Thumbs up.
